In an effort to make Mondays more bearable . . . we are releasing a new Bethan cover for the next 5 Mondays in a row. This is the third Monday of the set. A gorgeous cover of 'Moon River' by Henry Mancini and Johnny Mercer.

The songs in this collection are those we wish we'd had the inclination or talent to write ourselves, songs that make the regular rotation in our home, and songs that have become synonymous with our life as parents.

Here's what she had to say about this specific track :

When we had our daughter, I put a great deal of thought into a song we might sing each night. Though "Moon River" isn't a lullaby, I thought it might be a song that would make her think of the world as a place she could explore. Audrey Hepburn had to insist that the song make it into Breakfast at Tiffany's. She knew it was special.
